Glossary of Terms

DREAM - All capitals, used when referring to the combination of God's plans and purposes for our lives (why He made us) and the actualization of our unique gifts, talents, abilities and personality make-up (how He made us).

Dream - Normal capitalization rules, used when referring to the common ambitions or hopes one may have.

Church - Capital "C", indicates the worldwide, historic group of Believers in Christ; not specific to any particular denomination or movement or indicative of any particular era or culture.

church - lower case "C", indicates any specific local group of Christ-followers

FAQs about 60 DAYS OF DREAMING

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Each day has a blog post with a short ENGAGING THOUGHT designed for you to read and "wrestle" with, and an ACTION STEP for you to put into immediate action.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
That depends on you, really. Each daily reading was designed to take no more than about 5 minutes. How much time you spend engaging with it will certainly impact how "deep" it goes. The ACTION STEP for each day depends on the specifics of your dream and where in the process you are. Some ACTION STEPS require more than others.

HOW CAN I GET THE MOST OUT OF 60 DAYS OF DREAMING?
Again, that depends entirely on how much you want to get out of it. Truthfully, there are no easy paths to fulfilling God's dreams for our lives - nothing worth having comes easily! What you get out of the 60 Days of Dreaming is in direct proportion to what you put into it.
General tips:
1) DO NOT SKIP AHEAD Follow along each day as it comes.
2) USE A JOURNAL Record your thoughts and ACTION STEPS. Even if you're not the journaling type this is an important step. You'll "lose" thoughts and insights over the course of 60 days if you try to remember.

3) SHARE YOUR JOURNEY Something happens in us when we tell others about what we are doing - it's another layer of accountability and encouragement on the tougher days.
4) DON'T ASSUME ANYTHING Some of the ENGAGING THOUGHTS or ACTION STEPS may include an idea or concept or even a step you're already familiar with, or feel you have mastery over. Great - use that as an opportunity to fine-tune or revisit your assumptions.

CAN I REALLY FULFILL GOD'S DREAM FOR MY LIFE IN 60 DAYS?
That's highly unlikely. If you accomplished it in only 2 months, could it really be a God-sized dream? Besides, as you'll discover over the course of 60 Days of Dreaming, we believe that one of the true marks of a God-dream for our lives is that they aren't "accomplished" like a regular goal can be - God's dreams tend to be fulfilled and lived.
